In the 1860s, a one-story building stood in its place, then still at the address Hermina tér, then according to the surviving plans, it was extended, and in 1870 - when there was no Opera House in the neighborhood - an Orpheum, i.e. a song hall, was built there. The building was renovated in 2018, paying attention to keeping the 19th century details, while also taking into account the needs of the modern age.
