I could pop into Solihull town centre for a quick drink with a friend or a nice meal. Touchwood and the surrounding pedestrianised area had all the shops I ever needed, and more, for some retail therapy as well as a couple of supermarkets just round the corner which made live so much easier. For me though the best kept secret in Solihull was 1 minute by foot in other direction, Brueton park. The kids and grand-kids loved the park with running paths, lake, huge playground, tennis courts and Parkridge nature reserve. My family always joked because after a walk in the Spring I would say that Spring was my favourite season but then in Autumn I would change my mind, I think I loved the colours of the leaves.   I loved being able to have, not just parking for friends, but also a garage right in central Solihull. I often had friends come over by train too. Solihull station was only 10-15 minute walk down the Hight street and would give us easy access to Birmingham and all its nightlife. I never really used the airport but I guess that's handy too.  The flat was lovely and warm and Cedarhurst is a lovely quiet area despite being in the centre of Solihull. The flat always felt spacious with its good size rooms and had great high-up views on the second floor. I personally loved reading a book in the sun in the beautifully maintained little communal garden. It was nice to bump into a couple of the neighbours and feel that sense of community. Always friendly but not intrusive and a really good mix of young and old.   After nearly 15 lovely years at Cedarhurst I had to move away to be nearer family and it was a bit of a wrench to leave. I loved Cedarhurst and hope people are as happy as I was there.  Tenure We have been advised that the property is LEASEHOLD, with approximately 954 years unexpired (999 years from 28th September 1978) and is subject to a current annual service charge of £1,050.10 per half year and a current annual ground rent of £50.
