For great British tradition try these awesome old London pubs: The Elgin, The Warrington or The Clifton. The Clifton has a mean Sunday roast lunch that shouldn't be missed. The Waterway is great for a fun lunch or dinner with drinks right on the canal in Little Venice. My favourite cool local hidden gem is Formosa Street.
